Resolution: Threaded Discussion and Exam Issue

Explanation from eCollege:

From 5:04PM MT on June 15, 2011, until 8:04PM MT on June 16, 2011, users may have experienced issues with exams and/or threaded discussions in their courses.  The threaded discussion issue resulted in missing author name and yellow highlighting in the author name field when using threaded discussions.  The exam issue resulted in long exam questions being cutoff instead of wrapping within the content frame when attempting to take an exam within a .NExT course.  Technical teams were able to tie these issues to a software release that had been deployed earlier in the day.  These issues were sporadic in nature and did not affect all users or all courses, and both functionalities were still accessible throughout the duration of this incident. Once a code fix was deployed at 8:04PM MT on June 16, both features returned to normal operations. Technical teams are reviewing this deployment to identify areas of improvement and ways to limit the impact to users in the future.
